Here's my project made during the Global Game Jam 2025.

I handled all of the Game and Level Design in 48 hours which was challenging but I proved that I could make a simple, yet fun game based on the positive feedbacks we've received.

We did a lot of brainstorming around the concept "Bubble". At first, we wanted to make a platformer with lots of mechanics but we ended up reducing the scope to make a top-down parkour game with a simple mechanic : moving.

But simple doesn't mean it wasn't deep. I made the character a floaty, frictionless bubble to challenge the players.

And to master this mechanic, I implemented some traps based on timing and dodging so the players had to be very careful in their movements since the bubble is very fragile.

This was a great experience that allowed me to apply some of the Level Design techniques I had learned like making a 2D plan, making a learning diagram to control the player's flow throughout the level, creating harder alternate paths but rewarding players that want to take risks and go fast.

And in term of Game Design, I learned that making a game doesn't necessarily mean you have to design lots of mechanics. You can make a unique, well polished and deep mechanic that needs a lot of pratice to master in order to make a game fun.
